VoHiYo Meaning

VoHiYo, also known as the Weeb or Weeaboo original emote, is used to greet someone or to indicate that you have joined the stream and that they can rely on you from this point forward.

It can also be used when you have completed your technical explanation and want others to be informed.

Most viewers believe this is a special Twitch emote; however, it primarily serves as a technical emote for moderators on the server to communicate with one another and welcome new viewers.

In this guide, we will explain the meaning of the VoHiYo emote, its uses, and why you see it so frequently.

VoHiYo, or Weeb, is one of the most popular emotes in the Twitch community, particularly among newcomers who want to connect with more users.

It appears on nearly every stream and is the original Twitch emote that has been present since the beginning.

The Story Behind the Vohiyo Emote

There is limited information available about the VoHiYo Twitch emote, other than it features a cute girl wearing a purple shirt and holding a wrench.

It is one of the emotes inspired by a popular Twitch moderator named Volary, and the wrench in her hand symbolizes all the efforts she makes to keep the server running.

VoHiYo is recognized as the weeb emote because it references anime and is short for “people who are obsessed with Japanese pop culture.”

Every channel can have one variation of VoHiYo, provided it does not use any of the original components of the unique VoHiYo emotes. Aside from this, these emotes are only available for Kappa emotes.

Released in 2011, it is one of the oldest Twitch emotes introduced with the platform.

VoHiYo remains one of the most popular emojis on the platform.

How to Use VoHiYo Emote?

While viewers on the channel can also use this emote, VoHiYo is primarily reserved for mods and admins. It helps them indicate when it’s time to address something on the channel.

However, you can use it as a way to say hello to someone new on the channel and perhaps connect with other interesting viewers.

If you notice that you can use this emote on one channel but not on another, remember that it may be disabled in some channels because the moderators of that channel chose to reserve it for their own use.
