Jebaited Emote Meaning

“Gotcha! So incredibly naïve!”

The Jebaited emote is another entertaining emote to use against the streamer you are facing.

Specifically, the jebaited twitch emote can be used on streamers when you have successfully tricked them into a practical, yet obvious, joke or when they have fallen for the fake tips provided by someone.

The meaning of “jebaited” is quite straightforward. You deceived someone so clearly that you led them to believe something completely false, and they fell for it, leaving you amused. That sums up the definition of “jebaited.”

With jebaited, it’s as if you threw out bait and they took it! They took it eagerly!

Then you might say something like, “You got baited!”

The Story Behind

I know you are probably wondering how the jebait emote got its name from the phrase “You baited (took the bait).”

What if I told you it has nothing to do with this?

The origin of “Jebaited” traces back to Alex Jebailey, the founder of the Community Effort Orlando gaming event. This annual undertaking featured various fighting games. During one of these events, Jebailey was captured looking up, smiling with satisfaction.

Since then, the jebailey jebaited has been used to demonstrate your self-complacency after deceiving someone rather naïve into making a foolish move or something similar.

Here’s a heads-up for all the streamers out there: beware of twitch jebaited and jebaited transparent.

You don’t want to be a target for those mean (yet hilarious) streamers who post obvious bait for you to fall for.

Don’t be the laughing stock (no matter how amused that makes others)!
