Kai Cenat faced backlash from his Twitch stream viewers regarding how his security treated a Disneyland employee.
During his Mafiathon 2 subathon on November 18, Cenat visited Disneyland with his team and attracted large crowds.
After taking a birthday selfie with a fan, Cenat and his security followed their tour guide.
They paused when Cenat asked off-camera, “Where is our food?”
The tour guide replied, “After this,” referring to the attraction they were at.
This upset Cenat’s security team, with one bodyguard demanding, “No no no, he wants food now.”
The bodyguard insisted that they should get what Cenat wanted immediately.
After learning that food wouldn’t be ready right away, another bodyguard exclaimed, “What do you mean? He wants food. You give him what he wants.”
Cenat then said, “I’m about to throw up low-key I ain’t gonna lie,” trying to calm things down.
He urged everyone to relax, stating, “Look, everybody relax – let’s not yell at anybody.”
A moment later, Cenat directly apologized to the tour guide, assuring him, “You’re doing an amazing job leading us.”
Social media reactions were largely negative, criticizing both Cenat and his security for their approach.
One Reddit user commented, “Harassing a regular employee is wrong on so many levels.”
Another added that the bodyguard acted as if he were about to lose his job if Cenat didn’t get food immediately.
This incident did not go unnoticed by fans, who were quick to voice their discontent online. Many criticized the way both Cenat and his security interacted with the Disneyland staff.
One user on Reddit expressed their frustration, stating, “It’s incredibly wrong to harass a minimum wage worker.” This sentiment was echoed by others who pointed out the inappropriate display of authority by the security team.
Comments on social media suggested that Cenat should reconsider his relationship with his security personnel. “If you’re a decent person, you would separate yourself from security that treats others poorly,” remarked another viewer.
Cenat, who recently broke Twitch’s subscriber record previously held by Ironmouse, aims to continue his Mafiathon 2 event through the end of November. For updates and more information on his streaming journey, viewers can check back for highlights and summaries.
