The well-known streamer Trainwreck recently revealed that he owns a large collection of highly sought-after sticker capsules in Counter-Strike, valued at nearly $2 million.
During his live stream on November 21, Trainwreck showcased his storage areas, which contain some of his most valuable items.
He is famous for possessing several Katowice 2014 stickers, recognized as the rarest and most expensive items in the game.
However, it had been some time since he last updated fans about his storage collections.
In one of his main storage units, labeled “random stuff 2,” he displayed the number of items he has kept.
He has a total of 72 EMS 2014 Katowice Sticker capsules.
Each capsule is worth around $18,000 to $20,000.
This totals approximately $1.4 million purely from these capsules.
Also included in this storage are three Titan Holo stickers, each valued at about $60,000.
Additionally, there are a few older souvenir packages that can sell for between $1,500 and $3,000.
The value of these Katowice stickers has remained stable since the launch of CS2. Despite this, Trainwreck purchased them years ago, ensuring that his investment was wise. It seems he has acquired even more since his last update about his collection.
Titan Holo stickers, which are in high demand, are currently worth about $60,000 each. This underscores the potential value in his collection.
In March 2023, Trainwreck had 66 Katowice capsules, indicating that his collection has expanded. At that time, each capsule was estimated to be priced around $12,000.
Trainwreck is known for not purchasing skins in Counter-Strike, instead relying on items he has unboxed himself. However, opening one of these capsules valued at $20,000 is often considered a risky move, as the sticker obtained from such a capsule is likely to be worth much less than expected.
The rarity of the capsules means few people choose to open them, which in turn increases the value of the stickers they contain.
As of now, Trainwreck shows no intention of either opening or selling these capsules, leaving his unrealized gains intact for the time being.
