He predicts that Twitch will either be sold or shut down in the coming years.
On October 22, he tweeted, “Prediction… Amazon shuts down Twitch within 2 years or sells it. Probably sooner.”
He did not provide additional reasons behind this prediction.
One follower remarked that based on Pavlovski’s track record of predictions, it could occur even sooner than he suggests.
Despite its leading position in the live streaming market, Twitch’s reputation has taken a hit. Insiders at Amazon have described Twitch as a “zombie brand,” highlighting its struggles even with significant revenue. Although the platform generates about $2 billion annually, it still faces financial difficulties that prompt fears of mass layoffs in the near future.

Notably, KICK plans to create opportunities for viewers to earn money just by watching streams, a strategy that might attract users looking for a different kind of streaming experience.
