Twitch streamer Kai Cenat made a big donation to help with medical bills for the brother of young hip-hop artist Lil RT, who was hurt in a shooting.
On Christmas Eve, Kai was “babysitting” 10-year-old rapper Lil RT during his live stream.
The two had worked together before in November 2023, which drew some criticism after they performed lyrics that some people found offensive.
This time, the stream was different and there was no controversy.
Near the end, Kai had to remind Lil RT not to use bad language, but the mood was mostly positive.
Kai donated $16,000 to help Lil RT’s brother, who suffered severe injuries in a shooting back in November.
The GoFundMe page shared background about the situation, mentioning that on November 4, 2024, Ba-Kari Thomas, also known as 345Ba-Kari, was seriously harmed in a shooting.
He has been fighting for his life and has gone through many medical treatments, including five surgeries and over 60 blood transfusions.
Kai read the details on the GoFundMe page and then told Lil RT how lucky his brother is to be alive.
Kai reassured him, saying he would cover all the hospital costs with a $16,000 donation.
Kai also encouraged Lil RT to inform his brother that they planned to visit him soon. The family’s GoFundMe campaign has raised its target to $40,000 as the latest updates indicate that Ba-Kari is still on a breathing machine and is struggling to breathe on his own, highlighting the long road to recovery ahead.
Additionally, the GoFundMe page mentioned that Ba-Kari’s family had to move to a new house due to ongoing vandalism at their previous home. The contributions from supporters have played a vital role in ensuring that Ba-Kari’s family can find a safe and suitable place for his recovery.
Throughout 2024, Kai Cenat has been known for making several generous donations, but the most significant one was towards building a school in Nigeria. He accomplished this by donating 20% of the revenue generated from his highly successful Mafiathon 2 subathon.
