In mid-October, Asmongold faced backlash for making comments that many found offensive.
He referred to Palestinians as an “inferior culture” and stated he had no sympathy for them during discussions about an ongoing conflict.
His remarks quickly spread on social media and Twitch, prompting calls for the platform to take action against him.
As a result, his account was suspended for two weeks.
Several companies, including OTK and StarForge Systems, also chose to sever ties with him.
Since the suspension ended, he has resumed streaming.
Asmongold has expressed a desire to visit the Middle East soon to gain a deeper understanding of the situation there.
However, he believes he is likely to encounter another ban from Twitch before that trip.
During a stream on October 30, he shared his thoughts on the issue.
“I probably won’t get banned for another week,” he stated.
He noted that there might be further incidents that could lead to another ban.
Asmongold has indicated that if he is banned again, he hopes it will happen after November 5. He mentioned during his recent stream, “I need to stay out of trouble until Election Day. After that, things could get interesting.”
Following his first ban, Asmongold criticized Twitch for their inconsistent enforcement of rules. He seems to be aware that he could be on the brink of another suspension.
Additionally, he has apologized for his behavior and expressed a desire to change the “tone” of his streams moving forward. It remains to be seen how this will affect his presence on the platform in the future.
