Asmongold, a popular streamer, is worried he might get banned from Twitch again soon after returning from a previous ban.
He just came back to Twitch after being suspended for 14 days.
In mid-October, Asmongold faced criticism for making comments that many found offensive.
He described Palestinians as an “inferior culture” and said he had no sympathy for them during discussions about a current conflict.
His remarks quickly spread on social media and Twitch, leading to calls for the platform to take action against him.
As a result, his account was suspended for two weeks.
Several companies, including OTK and StarForge Systems, also decided to cut ties with him.
Since the suspension ended, he is back to streaming.
Asmongold has expressed a desire to visit the Middle East soon to gain a broader understanding of the situation there.
However, he believes he is likely to face another ban from Twitch before that trip.
During a stream on October 30, he shared his thoughts on the matter.
“I probably won’t get banned for another week,” he said.
He mentioned that there might be more incidents that could lead to him being banned again.
Asmongold has indicated that if he is to be banned again, he hopes it will occur after November 5. He said during his recent stream, “I need to stay out of trouble until Election Day. After that, things could get interesting.”
After his first ban, Asmongold criticized Twitch for their inconsistent enforcement of rules. He seems to be aware that he could be on the verge of another suspension.
Moreover, he has apologized for his behavior and stated a desire to shift the “tone” of his streams moving forward. It remains to be seen how this will affect his presence on the platform in the future.
Asmongold’s situation highlights the ongoing challenges faced by streamers regarding their conduct and the potential consequences of their statements in the public arena.
