Kai Cenat Sparks Nostalgia with Epic Beyblade Tournament Plans—Can It Bring Back the Spinner Craze?

Updated On:

Kai Cenat, a popular Twitch streamer, recently shared his plans to organize a real Beyblade tournament.

He expressed his excitement about hosting this large event, which will feature monetary prizes for the competitors.

Cenat made this announcement during his live stream on January 25.

He reminisced about his fond memories of Beyblades, describing them as a part of his childhood that he still enjoys.

As he discussed his plans, he emphasized the need for the best Beyblade players to participate in the competition.

He stated, “This year, I want to do a huge Beyblade tournament. But I need the best players in the world for this.”

Cenat also mentioned that he aims to provide a prize for the winners.

He acknowledged that Beyblade’s popularity may not be what it once was, adding, “I think Beyblade was a bit too advanced for its time.”

Encouraging his fans, Cenat asked anyone who knows Beyblade players or creators to reach out to him.

He remarked, “If there are content creators out there who love Beyblade, let me know!”

The tournament is likely to benefit from his connections within the streaming community.

Cenat concluded by expressing confidence in finding participants for the event.

The announcement about the Beyblade tournament follows a recent event called the AMP Sleepover, which featured several popular streamers, including Kai Cenat, Duke Dennis, Davis, fanum, agent00, and chrisnxtdoor. During this event, Cenat had previously planned to hold a tournament, prompting him to reach out to Hasbro for support in obtaining Beyblades for the competition.

Cenat shared his enthusiasm for the idea, saying, “I reached out to Beyblade, telling them about my sleepover and that we wanted to have a tournament that night. I even asked if they could send us some Beyblades.”

His passion for Beyblades has clearly intensified after the sleepover experience. Cenat noted, “I really believe Beyblade deserves to make a comeback. It was a lot of fun!”

This isn’t the first time a Twitch personality has successfully hosted a Beyblade tournament. In 2020, fellow streamer QTCinderella arranged a Beyblade competition that turned out well, allowing the winner, WillNeff, to take home a specially crafted trophy along with $2,000 in prize money.

Looking ahead to 2025, Cenat will need to balance this tournament with his busy schedule, which already includes plans for a live stream with Kanye West in Japan and an upcoming marathon event centered around the Batman Arkham game series.
