Popular streamer Plaqueboymax has shared his thoughts after calling out rapper Drake over some comments he made about his streaming.
Plaqboymax said he decided to stand firm after hearing Drake’s remarks.
During a live stream with Adin Ross, Drake mentioned that he had seen Plaqueboymax’s stream.
He stated, “I was watching Plaqueboymax. I was watching him in a live studio session and thought, ‘Yo, Adin would tease me for watching this.’ I watched it for an hour.”
The clip of Drake’s comments reached Plaqueboymax, who watched it with his cousin.
While he appreciated that Drake took the time to watch his stream, he didn’t want to feel starstruck.
Plaqboymax expressed that he was not happy with how Drake talked about his content.
He felt that the remarks came off as dismissive.
Plaqboymax said, “One thing I will say – even though it was Drake – I didn’t like how he said that. He laughed when saying, ‘I was watching Plaqueboymax.’ What is so funny? Why would Adin mock you for watching me? This is serious work.”
Unlike others who might be thrilled to have such a big artist mention them, Plaqueboymax wanted to ensure he was shown proper respect.
In response, Drake decided to follow Plaqueboymax on social media after he voiced his thoughts. During his stream, Plaqueboymax discussed how it all unfolded.
He said, “I appreciate the support and the fact that he tuned in – it’s a privilege. But I didn’t like how he brushed me off, as if my work is a joke. So, I made sure to express my feelings about it. And you know what? Drake followed me after that.”
Plaqboymax also talked about their first real conversation, although he kept the details private. He mentioned, “Because I stood up for myself, I talked with Drake for the first time. Much respect to him. But I won’t share our personal exchanges – that’s between us.”
Drake’s interaction with Adin Ross also stirred up discussions among other streamers, particularly xQc, after the rapper commented on his girlfriend, AikoBliss.
On the other hand, Plaqueboymax’s career as a streamer has been thriving. By September 2024, he reached over 28,000 subscribers on Twitch and plans to stream every single day throughout 2025.
