A Twitch streamer found a creative way to share big news with his fans.
He used the game Escape from Tarkov to announce that he and his partner are expecting a baby.
On December 6, ThatFriendlyGuy posted on X about how they finally conceived after six years of trying.
To tell his viewers, he made a short film in Tarkov.
In the film, his character is seen looting a medical kit.
When he discovers a surprise item and looks at a pregnancy test, it reveals the happy news.
The film ends with his character petting a stuffed bear and then collapsing to the ground with a smile.
It is captioned, “That Friendly Baby – coming June 2025.”
After sharing this joyful announcement, ThatFriendlyGuy provided more insight into their journey. He explained that the joyful news came on the same day they received a letter from their doctor suggesting they might want to give up on trying to conceive.
He shared, “We faced numerous unsuccessful IVF treatments and spent a lot of money, but then, unexpectedly, on the day we were advised to consider other options, a small miracle occurred.”
He confirmed that he and his partner were able to conceive without medical assistance.
In a heartfelt response, he expressed gratitude for the support he received from his followers, mentioning that he cherished every congratulatory message he read through.
He humorously added, “Sorry if I made you tear up in public when you heard the news.”
Such personal revelations from streamers have become quite common. For example, just a day before, popular YouTuber Typical Gamer livestreamed his wedding to his 15 million subscribers.
Similarly, Twitch streamer Officedrummer also tied the knot during a subathon event, with fellow streamer Kai Cenat officiating the ceremony.
