Twitch streamer Tectone is facing criticism for making fun of Jacksepticeye’s autism diagnosis.
He insulted Jacksepticeye after the YouTuber openly talked about his diagnosis.
On November 27, Jacksepticeye shared on X (previously Twitter) that he had been diagnosed with autism after a professional assessment.
This news was met with a lot of support from fans and other creators who praised him for his honesty.
However, not everyone reacted positively.
Tectone made a hurtful comment about Jacksepticeye in a post that he later deleted.
He wrote, “Oh god, he’s re*arded…”
This term is seen as disrespectful and harmful to people with disabilities.
Many online users criticized Tectone for using such language.
One comment read, “It shows he doesn’t understand autism, as having mild autism is very common.”
Another person said, “Ableism is a terrible form of discrimination.”
A third remarked, “The ‘r word’ is a slur, it’s hurtful and very disrespectful.”
Even fellow streamer JustaMinx joined in, saying it’s shocking for someone with his appearance to say such things while having a troubled past.
This incident is not Tectone’s first controversy. Recently, he had left the gaming organization OTK following serious allegations of sexual abuse from his former partner, Pinkchyu. Although he has denied these accusations, he has also demanded an apology, claiming they are unfounded.
In his defense, Tectone suggested that Pinkchyu was fabricating issues that never took place. He stated, “It’s crazy how you are bringing up things from your imagination and directing them at me, and it doesn’t seem right.”
Additionally, Tectone expressed his desire to resolve the matter with Pinkchyu through legal means, giving her a specific timeframe to reach out to his attorney.
As the allegations surfaced, Tectone faced harsh criticism from the community, including a notable response from fellow streamer Asmongold. He warned that if the allegations against Tectone are validated, he believes Tectone should face legal consequences.
The ongoing backlash from both the autism comment and the personal allegations has left the community divided, with many calling for accountability and a change in how public figures address sensitive topics.
