Twitch streamer xQc is facing a new lawsuit from his ex-girlfriend, Adept, in California.
The lawsuit claims he caused her serious harm and seeks millions of dollars in damages.
This lawsuit includes accusations of abuse that were not mentioned in the previous lawsuit filed in Texas.
Many of the claims repeat what was said in the Texas lawsuit, which the judge eventually threw out.
However, this new filing includes allegations of domestic violence that were not included before.
Adept, whose real name is Samantha, claims that xQc forcefully pushed her face into his shoulder, which led to police involvement and an Emergency Protective Order being issued.
The lawsuit also brings back the claim of sexual battery mentioned in the Texas case.
Adept accuses xQc of using his “cult-like” fan base to attack her online.
She also refers to how his fans often use the term “whale” to describe her.
Additionally, xQc’s editors are said to have participated in this harassment by sharing clips of xQc’s streams and labeling them in a damaging way on YouTube.
Adept, also known by her real name Samantha, asserts that xQc’s actions led to her suffering significant harm. She is pursuing millions in damages as part of this lawsuit.
This latest filing presents allegations of domestic violence not included in the initial Texas lawsuit, which was dismissed by the court.
Samantha claims that during a confrontation, xQc physically pushed her face against his shoulder, prompting police intervention and resulting in an Emergency Protective Order being issued against him.
The new lawsuit revives previous allegations of sexual battery that were made in the Texas case.
Furthermore, she accuses xQc of utilizing the aggressive behavior of his devoted fan base to target her online. Many of his followers have used derogatory terms like “whale” when referring to her.
The lawsuit accuses xQc’s team of complicity in this harassment, alleging that they have circulated clips from his streaming sessions that frame her negatively on platforms like YouTube.
Video titles such as “Adept robbed xQc” and “Adept literally stole xQc’s McLaren” have been cited as particularly harmful. She argues that these statements have led to reputational damage, causing a drop in her viewer numbers and loss of sponsorships.
Adept is asking for $245,000 in damages but is also seeking punitive damages for her claims, along with coverage for her legal fees, bringing the total sought to over $1 million.
xQc recently revealed that Adept has requested a $10 million settlement, expressing frustration over the situation. He stated that while he feels compelled to address it, he prefers not to give it the focus it currently receives.
In response to the allegations, he has maintained that he has already cleared similar claims in court, labeling the new accusations as “outrageous.”
On his Twitch/X account, xQc informed his followers that they were welcome to discuss the ongoing lawsuit and that he felt no need to remain silent about the issue.
